If it glitters it could be gold… A unique gift idea for your loved ones

Don’t you just love all things sparkly and glittery? No? Just me? Right OK 🙈

Well I am proudly attracted to things that have glitter on them. Especially when I’m searching for a gift for someone 🎁

I’m the natural gift giver in my household, so I’m literally in charge of locating the perfect gift for my loved ones. And by perfect I mean it has to be something unique but solely designed to be something they will love and treasure 💝 There is just no comparable feeling to giving someone you love a gift and seeing their faces light up when they open it. Not just because it’s perfect for them, but also because its something they would have never thought of for themselves 😁

This is where Sweeties by Lisha Lish came to my rescue 🙌🏾 I’m always a bit stuck when it comes to choosing a birthday present for my Mother in law 🤦🏾‍♀️ she isn’t someone that likes to make a big deal out of her birthday 😲 – nuts I know, because frankly, birthdays are AMAZING 🥳 But I figure it’s an older generation thing 🤷🏾‍♀️ so anyway, this year I could not figure out what to get her at all 😔

And then I happily stumbled across a small business called Sweeties by Lisha Lish! A company run by a lovely woman, who specialises in taking everyday items and somehow (its a mystery how she does it 🤯) turning them into a beautiful glittery centrepiece, that just captures even the fussiest of people. I checked out her page and marvelled at all of the bottles of alcohol that she had transformed into the most outstanding gifts and had a thought 💭 “one thing I know for sure my Mother in law loves is “Teachers whisky” 🤔 in that genius moment, I contacted Sweeties by Lisha Lish to see if she could use her melanin magic to turn a regular bottle of Teachers into a beautiful gift that my Mother in law would marvel at.

She did exactly that 😍 (just look at how perfectly my order turned out)

You can’t deny how beautiful and unique this gift truly is and despite me not requesting the additional pearls, Sweeties by Lisha Lish being the great company that they are, included them without any additional cost 🥰 Not only is it the perfect gift for my Mother in Law, it makes a great addition to her mantelpiece, because let’s be honest – it would be a travesty to open it when it looks so pretty 😂

Whilst I will be the first to admit that I seem to have amazing luck at choosing the best Black Owned businesses, there are some that still take me by surprise. Whether its because of the excellent products they offer, or because of the efficient service I receive from them, I just cannot fault the businesses I’ve stumbled across.

Yet Sweeties by Lisha Lish still managed to surprise me. Not just because the owner managed to bring my vision to life with this gift, but also because she kept me posted each step of the way and drew my affection with her ever endearing messages and greetings of “Hey Sis” 💕 I felt like a valued customer and also like my money was going to a company that was deserving of it. A company run by someone who clearly prided themselves on their skillful products bringing smiles to many faces.

So if you’re like me and love all things glitter, then this small, yet extremely worthwhile and quite frankly, nothing short of amazing business, is where you should head for your next gift 😁
