Doughnuts for Everyone…. Vegan Doughnuts to satisfy your sweet tooth

I’m going to take a moment to be completely transparent with you 😔 it takes a lot to reveal something so personal so I’m expecting you as my wonderful readers, to be patient and understanding. I’m also expecting absolutely no judgements of my complete naivety….. can you do that? Great, so here goes….. I didn’t know vegan doughnuts existed 🤦🏾‍♀️🤫🤭 You promised to be understanding remember? 🤨

It’s not really something I’ve ever spent time considering as I’m not actually vegan 🤷🏾‍♀️ so unless it was drawn to my attention, there was no real reason for me to search specifically for any kind of vegan dessert, particularly a doughnut 🍩

However, as my birthday was approaching, my husband began a strict eating regime (long story) so decided to cut out dairy. Because of that, he wanted to organise a few treats for my birthday that he could also enjoy. So he was delighted (ok probably a stretch) he was intrigued and quite pleased, when he came across Dominee’s Doughnuts 🍩 A company that specialises in vegan doughnuts that are made fresh upon ordering AND are Black Owned 😍 My husband knew that for my birthday at least 90% of everything he bought needed to be Black Owned 😉

So my birthday came, and my husband presented me with this neatly packaged box. Before I had even opened it, my sense of smell was overwhelmed with a smell so sweet that it made my mouth water 💧 I practically tore open the box to see what was inside and was genuinely surprised when I saw it was doughnuts 😋

The presentation of the doughnuts was truly lovely as each one was individually wrapped in its own plastic. This meant I was able to choose one I wanted and lift it out without touching any of the others 😁 I’m a bit of a germaphobe so a little detail like that is really important to me 🤷🏾‍♀️

But the real surprise was the variety of flavours of each doughnut 😍 I chose the Cherry Bakewell one to eat, whilst my husband chose the pistachio doughnut.

They were sooooo delicious 😍😋 they were moist and had the right amount of sweetness to satisfy my excessive sweet tooth 😁 They were also tasty enough to satisfy my sometimes picky 3 year old 🙌🏾👏🏾

My only gripe about these amazing doughnuts were that due to their freshness they don’t last more than a couple of days 😭 so they have to be eaten as soon as possible so you can fully enjoy them in their delicious glory 😉 otherwise they start to go a bit hard after a couple of days (which by the way should be expected when dealing with freshly baked goods…. if that doesn’t happen with something stated as fresh, you should definitely be suspicious 🤔)

Oh and just to add, my husband said that placing his order was really easy and the doughnuts were prepared within his desired time frame. He also said collection was done with social distancing in mind and Dominee’s Doughnuts were great at adhering to all pandemic protocols 👍🏾 But you should also note that they do provide delivery once a week on a Friday.

So, in essence I would fully recommend Dominee’s Doughnuts 🍩 they are worth every penny spent and whether you are vegan or not, you are guaranteed to enjoy them 🖤
